I'm long overdue for a tl;dr rant about my job. I know I'm very lucky to have one, and I don't hate the whole thing, I just hate, hate HATE being at the registers. People seem to actually treat you like you're a person when you're on the floor helping them find something, but when you're a cashier, you're just meant to take their money and give them their books. We have to greet now too, which is almost as horrible. We have to stand at the door and say hello to everyone that passes, tell them what's going on and help them if they set off the security sensors going in or out. Just the other day, a lady beeped on her way in and my oh-so-sweet coworker Tarah approached her and said "Hi, did you just come from Target? They miss alot of their security sensors..." The lady snapped at her "DON'T ACT LIKE YOU'RE DOING ME A FAVOR. I WAS IN HERE THE OTHER DAY AND EVERY FRIGGIN' PERSON WAS SETTING OFF THAT ALARM."

Basically, working at Borders has made me realize that at least a third of the human population should be killed off. Maybe more.

The day AFTER Toothless' second trip to Borders, I was having a pretty good day, until YET ANOTHER toothless New Hampshire noble approaches my register on SuperCoupon day with a magazine and a book about Ipods.

( I thought I was going to combust. )

I haven't even seen my friends this summer. I've gone out once. I haven't worn shorts or sandals or gone to the beach. Fuck. I just want to go back. 36 days.

On the upside, I really like it when customers actually treat me like a person who is there to help them. One lady called me a sweetheart and it made my day. I told a little girl buying a Miroku bookmark that there was going to be a new Inuyasha anime and she almost passed out from the joy. One old lady came in and told me her life's story about how she lost her son and her husband and how she reinvented herself through spiritual veganism. She smiled and told me that I had a lot of light around me and that I hold a lot of love. She almost made me cry. Even now, she was one of my most positively memorable customers. So there is a bright side, and I very rarely let the bad outweigh the good, but honestly, I think my days at Borders are numbered.

9 hour shift today. Shoot me in the face.

ANYWAY last night I bought a wig and a patch for the school crest on my Sunohara cosplay. I didn't get REALLY excited until I woke up this morning and found out they'd been shipped. Alicia did a closet Okazaki cosplay and I was like FFF THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.

We're doing summer uniforms for easyness' sake. (Lilly will still be wearing the blazer outfit, but it's okay because we did it for the lulz.)

Also I plan on posing like this in every picture where someone is not kicking the crap outta me.

I guess that means that most everything is bought, save for a few wigs and shoes.

Also lol I had a dream last night where my "dorm" lookes suspiciously like my bedroom here, and I was sharing it with 2 people I knew freshman year, and Duo, who didn't look much like Duo, but apparently he was. Anyway, I ended up throwing a knife at him and it got lodged in his shoulder, but there was no blood. And he like, was waiting in the corner of my room to die, and I was crying.

I have no idea why I would have thrown a knife at Duo in the first place...shit was weird.

Okay, so Mavu has these little fortune-telling sticks that you shake until one of them presents itself by sticking out of the pack, and they've been eerily accurate since I've started to use them.

Okay so...

I was down in the O'House ballroom earlier with umiyuko, elenatha and arricia_sama like I usually am, lying on the floor and not working (like I usually am lol school). and Sofi is talking to ginnyseta over MSN.

So I was chilling there, lyin on the floor, and Alicia wass drawing Neil and Lyle Eiffel Towering Tieria for the lulz. About the time she showed it to me, I felt something cool on my skin around my waist, so I'm like "wtf is that?" I felt it, nothing there. A little later and I felt it on the other side. Again, nothing there. After admiring Alicia's masterpiece, I handed it to Sofi like "DUDE YOU SHOULD SHOW GINNY" so she turned on the webcam as I sat up to hand it to her...............and I felt something falling down my shirt.

LIKE A NINJA I grabbed it through the fabric, and almost puked when I heard a disgusting CRUNCH and I was like "8|........ OH MY GOD HELP ME" And Sofi and Alicia were like OMG WUT and like knelt beside me to get the situation under control...

So, like half of O'House was in the ballroom working tonight, and I was freaking out, and I whipped off my shirt ( I was wearing a conspicuously flesh-colored bra) and stood up, looked beside me, and saw my fat naked ass on the webcam;;;;;;;;;;;

Alicia graced me with her sweatshirt, and took my shirt outside to dump out the BIG, NASTY-ASS COCKROACH that was crawling around on my back on the ground. Then I took a shower and put clothes on...

tl;dr: There was a big fucking cockroach under my shirt so I took it off in front of a bunch of people lulz.

Yes, somewhere in the midst of this quarter my humanity lies dead in the water, and in its place have formed a suit of pallid skin and a cold, dead heart.
